Hawaiian Ka Huna Session
Ka Huna Bodywork/massage is adapted from a style of bodywork that in ancient times was reserved only for Hawaiian Royalty. Performed only by the Kahuna in ancient temples, Kahuna Bodywork was performed as a ‘rite of passage’ and an initiation into greater responsibilities.
Kahuna Bodywork comes from Hawaii, but the principle does not teach all that is Hawaiian. Instead it teaches people to access their own inherited genetic wisdom; how to access pathways to physically, mentally or spiritually unexplored areas within the self. The result of these explorations is multilevel and can be subtle or foundationally life changing, for both the giver and the receiver of the bodywork.
Ka Huna massage can be described as the most beautiful feeling of glowing energy that flows gently through and around your entire being. The practitioner’s hands are extensions of their heart and the application of this unique massage is through flowing strokes using forearms, elbows as well as both hands combining body draining, soft and deep tissue massage, under body massage, and energy balancing to form dynamic and transformational bodywork. Hawaiian Ka Huna Bodywork explores the Huna philosophy, Hawaiian breathing and male/female energy balance. It emphasises the importance of intent, focus, belief systems, movement and dance within the massage.
Ka Huna healing is an energy healing system based upon ancient Hawaiian shamanic wisdom and methods. Foregoing the elaborate rituals and format of ancient days, healing is performed in a direct, powerful and simple manner. The true Hawaiian healing energy is very loving and direct; the healer’s hands are intuitively drawn to the areas of the body in need of healing. The healing energy is usually received as a spiralling heat sensation or a tingling sensation throughout the body.
The results of Ka Huna Healing are direct and very powerful, requiring little time for integration. Recipients feel immediate changes in the needed areas, be they physical, emotional, spiritual or mental.
